Delete my data
Before you delete: your trip history can't be recovered afterwards. If you need your mileage records for taxes or reimbursement, export a PDF or CSV report from the app first.
Where your data is
MileBack has no user accounts. Most of your data never leaves your iPhone, so you can delete it yourself instantly.
| Data | Where it's kept | How it's deleted |
|---|---|---|
| Trips, routes, addresses, notes, places, working hours, vehicle details | Your iPhone | In the app, or by deleting the app — immediate |
| Anonymous app user ID and subscription status | RevenueCat | On request — within 30 days |
| App usage, crash and attribution data | Our analytics and attribution providers | On request — within 30 days |
| Support emails | Our email provider | On request — within 30 days |
| Purchase history and payment details | Apple | Managed by Apple — see below |
Option 1 — Delete in the app (fastest)
- Export your records if you need them: open Miles → Report, choose the period and tap PDF or CSV.
- Open Settings in MileBack and tap Delete my data.
- Confirm. All trips and settings are erased from your iPhone immediately, and we automatically ask our providers to delete the data linked to your app user ID within 30 days.
Option 2 — Ask us by email
If you've already deleted the app, or prefer to ask us directly, email us and we'll delete everything we can link to you.
- Find your App user ID in MileBack under Settings → About (if you still have the app). It lets us find your records, since we don't know your name or email.
- Email info@mileback.app with the subject "Delete my data" and include your App user ID.
- We'll confirm we've received your request within 7 days and complete deletion within 30 days, then email you to confirm.
Option 3 — Delete the app
Deleting MileBack from your iPhone permanently removes all trips and settings stored on the device. It does not delete the small amount of data held by our providers — use Option 2 for that.
Your subscription
Deleting your data or the app does not cancel your subscription. Subscriptions are billed by Apple. To stop being charged, open Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions on your iPhone and cancel MileBack. Apple keeps its own record of your purchases; to manage that data, visit privacy.apple.com.
What we may keep
We may keep limited records where the law requires it — for example, transaction records needed for tax and accounting, or a record that we completed your deletion request. We keep these only for as long as required and use them for no other purpose.
Other requests
You can also ask us for a copy of your data, or to correct it, by emailing info@mileback.app. See our Privacy Policy for all your rights.
